| Karen Wiley Alt Karen is an Accredited Marine Surveyor through the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors. She is American Boat and Yacht Council Standards Accredited. Karen is a member of the International Association of Marine Investigators. Karen has a lifetime of marine experience from growing up at the Wiley Shipyard in Oxford Maryland, to her first job at The Yacht Yard in Annapolis, through her experience working in the family sail making business and the fleet of boats she has owned and used. Karen supplements this marine background with 22 years investigative experience with the Maryland State Police. In her spare time, and upon retirement, Karen alternated between continuing her education about all things marine, and all things surveying. Karen became a full time Marine surveyor in 2001 after so many years of having her father mentor her in the family business and the Chapman School of Marine Surveying. Karen is on one body of water or another almost daily. Chuck Wiley Chuck, an Accredited Marine Surveyor through the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors and a Certified Marine Surveyor through the National Association of Certified Marine Surveyors. He established Anchor Marine Enterprises, Inc. in 1979 after a lifetime of both personal and professional marine experience. Chuck grew up at the Wiley Shipyard in Oxford, Maryland. There he designed and built wooden power and sailing yachts with his father Ralph H. Wiley. Chuck completed the Westlawn School of Naval Architecture and was in the Merchant Marine. Chuck has successfully completed seventeen Newport to Bermuda Yacht Races including winning Class and Overall honors in the 1976 race as Starboard Watch Officer aboard Running Tide. Chuck has been ranked internationally in several different One Design classes over the years. Chuck is a member of the Storm Trysail Club and a Past Commodore of the Cambridge Yacht Club and the Miles River Yacht Club.
